Importance of footwear in increasing of  strength in Professional sports

Good Shoes Takes U Good Places

When we talk about shoes some of us has different perspective of shoes and this is valid too . Due to variety of shoes lover can’t help themselves and u guessed it right I am one of them too ”I make shoe contact before eye contact” and that’s pretty right shoes colour also play an crucial role of attracting someone’s eye like White color but it gets dirty at the same time easily .not only shoes makes us look formal but also protects us from foreign agents like dust , water and heat .it also makes ourselves stand firm and still for a long time comfortably .

But have u noticed our footwear not only makes us look good, protect ourselves but also can increase our strength our form our mobility of transfering the weight to both of the legs equally.

         But The question is how can it increase our strength ?

Let me get this straight .To increase our strength everybody knows where to go and that’s correct the “GYM” .

         Okay what’s next?

Ever heard of the big three…!

1)Bench press.

2)Deadlift.

3) Back squats.

 

Now u may wonder what’s foot wear got to do with it. And you are right too because none of then we do with our foots .But hear me out your legs and  you foot wear plays an important role in this three lifts and can add upto 10 to 20 lbs to your next lift.

Lets now talk about everyone’s favourite:-

The bench press :-

To give you the basic idea bench press is a compound movement .That target maximum muscle in your upper body.

When getting in position for bench press most of the lifter don’t bother and ignore about their feet placement or just raise their feet on bench instead of placing then down on the ground. As I told u earlier it is a compound movement (movement that comprises of more than one joint). Most of the beginners do such mistakes.

The foot position is very important in order to execute the lift correctly and properly . also it helps us to stabilize and let u use maximum leg drive. Stance width is according to the personal preference but commonly to more close your feet are the easier it is to make mistake of lifting your butt off the bench and that’s not correct

If u are able to take stance with you feet flat in the ground .Your lower back arched , your shoulder blades squeeze together like u are holding a pencil on your back with your scapula. you will develop the highest amount of tension in your upper body. This allows your to generate the energy from the floor . And assume a stable position so you can use the most amount of energy from foot placement.

 

THINGS TO CHECK IN YOUR FOOTWEAR:-

1)Flat  and solid sole.

2)See if it fit your size and is comfortable .

3)Firm grip to stabilize u.

4)It should have good traction.

2)The Deadlift (King Of Exercise):-

Deadlift is called the king of exercise because it target every muscle in the body .To make this right u need to work on your form first once your form is right you can now focus to foot wear.

Why footwear in Deadlift?

Stability Is the name of the  game  when you are pulling two or three tomes tour body weight of the floor typically the rear of your shoes need to be higher should create an elevated hell position that elevated heel and cushioning is going to create an Unstability when deadlifting. See when u squat try doing it right now u will notice your hells will elevate automatically it’s not any injury or muscle imbalance its natural that’s why here we require different shoes with elevated heels.

When we squat guess from where we generate the energy?

From the floor when u don’t have a proper shoes and just normal shoes your body weight as well as the weight on your shoulder due to this you’re normal shoes will press against the ground like sponge and u will not able to create enough energy .
